Morrisville Middle/Senior High School seeks a dedicated and dynamic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach high school French language and cultural courses. The successful candidate will follow the established curriculum, maintain high expectations for student learning, and foster a positive, engaging learning environment. This position requires a strong command of the French language and the ability to connect with adolescents in meaningful ways that support language acquisition and cultural appreciation. Responsibilities:
• Deliver daily instruction in French I French II, French Cuisine and French Caribbean.
• Implement lesson plans and develop engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to active learning, respectful communication, and cultural exploration.
• Provide timely feedback to students and communicate with parents/guardians as appropriate.
• Collaborate with department colleagues and administrators to support student success.
• Fulfill duties associated with the daily operation of the school, including supervision and faculty/department meetings as required.
• Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the secondary level, particularly in French language instruction, preferred.
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering inclusivity, student engagement, and global awareness.
