About this role
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 60 college credit hours
• Teaching certificate, or substitute teaching permit
• Classroom experience, preferred
• Must be approved to sub through EDUStaff
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• A Permanent Building Substitute is assigned to one school: middle school (1) or elementary buildings (4), and reports to the building principal and/or school secretary.
• NOTE: Substitute will need to be flexible with building placement based on District needs.
• Remain at school during the entire school day unless excused by the principal.
• Maintain as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school, classroom and position to which assigned.
• Follow lesson plans and directions left by the teacher.
• Assume all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Model professional experience, attitude and demeanor.
• Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher.
• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
• Assist with non-classroom duties when assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• This position is for the 2026/2027 school year, September 8, 2026 - June 16, 2027
• Hourly pay rate of $19.89/hour; 7.25 hours/day
