Position Summary The front office assistant serves as the face of the school and the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and efficient front office while supporting the school's daily operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional school hospitality, strong organizational skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming and professional environment.
• Foster a positive school culture through respectful, solution-oriented interactions.
• Provide exceptional school hospitality through courteous, accurate, and timely communication in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Build positive relationships while ensuring that every interaction reflects the school's values and culture.
• Manage student check-in, check-out, and related records in accordance with district policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring the confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA.
• Verify parent or guardian authorization before releasing students from campus.
• Maintain organized office and student records with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support administrators, counselors, teachers, and staff through clerical, organizational, and operational assistance.
• Utilize district software and office systems efficiently to support daily school operations.
• Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and empathy when assisting students and families.
• Follow all district safety and visitor management procedures.
• Monitor visitor access and assist with emergency communication and procedures as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principal.

Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Clean background check
• Oral and written communication skills
• Ability to operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, fax machine, and telephone
• Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and techniques

• Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Be able to bend, stoop, reach, squat, carry
• Light lifting (<20 lbs.)
