Due to wage and hour laws, classified staff that accept a supplemental position will be paid at an hourly rate. The stipend applies to certified staff or Rule 10 only positions. Please see Additional Pay Information below.* Supplemental Athletic Director/Coordinator (Additional Assignment-annual stipend: $7,285.00) Qualifications:

• Coaching experience (preferred)

• Current KSDE licensure required; internal certified candidates preferred

• Administrative Degree (preferred but not required)

• Must be CPR/AED Certified

Reports To: School Athletic Director School Principal Job Goal: To assist the school athletic director and administration with athletic events and programming. Performance Responsibilities:

• Assists Building Athletic Director with scheduling of athletic events for the high school programs, as necessary

• Manages athletic events and personnel assigned to those events

• Supports adherence to all rules and guidelines of KSHSAA and Lawrence Public Schools

• Assists with scheduling and handling of all athletic transportation needs for high school athletic and extracurricular events, working with the District Athletic Director's office

• Assists with social media as a means for communication and promotion of school programs and teams

• Provides supervision and attendance at high school events

• Knowledge of school organization and administration

• Ability to supervise others and develop effective working relationships with the staff, students, and community

• Knowledge and ability to utilize appropriate technology

• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively both verbally and in written language

• Desire to continue career improvement

• Supports the implementation of the school improvement plan

• Supports students having access to a variety of activities that support their leadership, physical, emotional, social, and attitudinal growth

• Supports a culture of collaboration, trust, learning and high expectations for all

• Builds and sustains partnerships with families and community partners

• Maintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary and assures due process for students when appropriate

• Supports a safe learning environment by adhering to all crisis plans, school wide behavior plans and policies

*ADDITIONAL PAY INFORMATION: If the applicant hired is a current USD 497 certified staff member, this position will have a stipend of $7,285 for the season, paid over the teacher contract. If the applicant hired is not a current USD 497 staff member, this position will have a stipend of $7,285 for the season, paid over the season. Please note: if classified employment with the district is subsequently accepted, classified staff member pay (below) will apply for the remainder of the season. If the applicant hired is a current USD 497 classified staff member, they will be paid an hourly rate for the hours worked. Evaluation:

• Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation.
