About this role

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma, GED, or In Good Academic Standing

• One year of experience working with children

• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred

REPORTS TO: 21st Century Learning Grant Site Manager or Project Director RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: 21st Century Learning Grant Site Manager (Aftershock) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months – Part-time (3:00-6:00pm) EVALUATION: Evaluated bi-annually on the basis of effort, enthusiasm, inter-personal skills, organization, and collaboration with other program staff and students. JOB GOAL: Support the operations of the After-school program ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Implement, lead, and/or teach program activities

• Work directly with students

• Monitor student progress

• Assist with daily attendance and other reporting functions as needed

• Assist Club facilitator in delivery of club activities and/or lead club activities

• Engage students in club activities

• Be responsible for the safety and well being of students

• Attend staff meetings as required

• Help serve snacks

• Help set-up and clean sites

• Greet family members when bringing or picking up students

• Carry out required procedures as indicated by Site Coordinator

• Engage in social interaction with students (conversation, games, etc.)

• Assist in the implementation of extra activities to engage students and families
