JOB VACANCY: Literacy Collaboration Teacher BASE LOCATION: Delta Elementary School 7661 Mer Rouge–Collinston Road Collinston, Louisiana 71229 GRADE LEVEL(S): Kindergarten – 6th Grades POSITION OVERVIEW Delta Elementary School, a Title I school, is seeking a highly effective educator to serve as the Literacy Collaboration Teacher. This position is designed to strengthen literacy instruction and improve student achievement through structured professional learning, instructional coaching, teacher collaboration, and the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM). The Literacy Collaboration Teacher will facilitate a culture of continuous improvement by leading teacher collaboration aligned with the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) High-Quality Professional Learning (HQPL) Cycle, the Louisiana Literacy Roadmap, and evidence-based literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading. JOB GOAL To accelerate student literacy achievement by facilitating high-impact teacher collaboration, job-embedded coaching, data-driven decision-making, and effective implementation of HQIM aligned to the Louisiana Literacy Roadmap, the LDOE High-Quality Professional Learning Cycle, and state literacy priorities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Facilitate weekly Teacher Collaboration meetings using LDOE-approved literacy collaboration frameworks and protocols. 2. Lead teacher teams through the HQPL Cycle. 3. Support implementation and internalization of HQIM. 4. Provide job-embedded coaching, modeling, co-teaching, and instructional support. 5. Assist teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy practices. 6. Support implementation of Louisiana Literacy Roadmap and Science of Reading initiatives. 7. Guide analysis of literacy assessment data. 8. Facilitate collaborative planning sessions. 9. Conduct informal classroom observations and provide feedback. 10. Collaborate with administrators to develop literacy goals and action plans. 11. Support identification of students needing additional literacy support. 12. Support literacy intervention programs. 13. Collaborate with leadership to sustain teacher collaboration structures. 14. Assist with review and selection of literacy materials. 15. Maintain required documentation and reports. 16. Participate in district and LDOE professional development. 17. Promote family engagement in literacy initiatives. 18. Maintain a professional growth plan. 19. Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality. 20. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate. • Meets LDOE and BESE certification requirements. • Minimum three years successful teaching experience preferred. • Knowledge of literacy instruction, assessment, and intervention. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to analyze student data and improve instruction. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience facilitating PLCs and Teacher Collaboration. • Instructional coaching experience. • Knowledge of HQIM and HQPL. • Experience with Science of Reading implementation. • Title I experience preferred. • Master's Degree preferred.
