About this role
JOB GOAL: To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.
• Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.
• Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion.
• Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Director of Transportation.
• Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on bus by students.
• Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent life experience required.
• Ability to lift average weights, bend, stoop, reach, pull and climb.
• Specialized skills in first aid and CPR preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate licensing to operate a vehicle in Arizona.
• Ability to work harmoniously with staff, students and community members.
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.
