About this role
Position Overview: To perform secretarial, clerical, and other duties in support of the principal/vice principal's office of a school. Essential Job Functions:
• Type correspondence, reports, notices, newsletters, purchase orders, as directed by the principal.
• Perform clerical duties such as managing/coordinating student and school files.
• Routine duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors, assisting teachers, and student supervision.
• Maintain student attendance on the computer.
• Complete needed web reports for ODE.
• Create purchase orders, create reports from Visions.
• Maintain an accounting of staff absences and substitutes, managing time sheets for classified staff.
• Maintain a master schedule of activities occurring in the building, including classified staff schedules.
• Arrange substitutes for staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Administration
Other Job Functions:
• Proficient in keyboarding/computer skills
• Attend to minor first aid and health concerns
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail
• Prepare materials for registration
Qualifications: Knowledge of:
• Office practices and procedures with ability to use computers & standard office machines.
• Computer programs such as Excel, Word, Google Suite, etc.
• Filing and record-keeping
• Organizational skills
Ability to:
• Work harmoniously with children, other employees and deal tactfully with the public
• Maintain confidentiality
• Take direction and work to achieve professional goals.
• Perform recurring duties without specific directions and complete new tasks with minimum supervision
• Maintain regular attendance
Experience:
• One year of secretarial/office practices training, and/or 3 years of experience in a human services field preferred
License:
• Maintain a first aid card
• Oregon Driver's License
Physical Requirements: In an eight-hour day, employee may

• Lift/Carry 1-2 Hours Up to a weight of 50 lbs
