About this role
Saint Bernadette Catholic School, located in West Springfield, VA, is seeking enthusiastic persons to join our extended day team for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time position, with flexible hours: Monday-Friday 3 p.m. up to 6 p.m. School half-days hours 11:30 a.m. up to 6 p.m. This might be an ideal position for college students. Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates Christian caring in relationships with children and families;
• Maintains a safe, clean, and healthy environment;
• Provides close supervision of children in active play through appropriate positioning and monitoring of designated areas;
• Adheres to a daily schedule that balances active and quiet times, free and structured times, indoor and outdoor activities;
• Complies with Diocesan and Local Program Policies;
• Implements regulations applicable to the program, including fire, health & emergency;
• Expresses respect for all children: smiles and laughs with the children
Requirements: 1. fingerprints, and background checks; 2. high school diploma/GED. Hourly wage: $27.58/hour This position is less than 20 hours per week therefore it is not a benefit eligible position.
