QUALIFICATIONS
Teacher Certification and Bachelor's degree Required. (Education with focus on Counseling or Student Affairs, or related fields preferred).
Two years work experience or equivalent preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY
Cultivates and deepens relationships with the district, schools, and our local community to support the district's vision.
DISTRICT AND SCHOOL PRIORITY ALIGNMENT
Align actions with district and school values and core priorities. Evaluated based on the efficacy of aligned actions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides admissions counseling for prospective and current dual credit students in our high schools & The UP Center.
Assists in providing academic, career and college adjustment counseling to currently enrolled dual credit students.
Advises new dual credit students of academic process and generalized direction to enhance academic success.
Conducts dual credit enrollment and orientation events at local schools to provide information and register new and returning dual credit students.
Contributes to the achievement of the College's recruitment and retention goals by providing information to the high school students, parents, teachers, administrators, and district officials by representing the College at programs for the high school market and encouraging dual credit students to consider attending ECTC upon graduation.
Works cooperatively with the Registrar and Admissions staff to ensure that special registration assistance is provided for dual credit students, including visits to area high schools in a timely manner to collect admission a registration materials to meet specified registration deadlines.
Communicates with high school counselors and students to resolve issues and obtain missing student information required for enrollment in dual credit courses.
Collaborate with teachers & community partners to create 9-16 college and career pathways.
Conduct regular standing appointments at area high schools as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors or designee.
