Teacher on Special Assignment: Instructional Coach Grades 4-12 with a focus on Math and Science Type: Certificated, Instructional Coach Location: Johnstown Intermediate, Middle and High Schools Date Available:2026-2027 School Year The Johnstown-Monroe Local School District is looking for a licensed teacher to fill a Teacher on Special Assignment: Math and Science Instructional Coach position. Description: The Instructional Coach will provide ongoing, job-embedded training and support for teachers in curriculum and instruction. It is a one year contract, to begin with the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities Include:
• Coach instructional staff to meet the needs of every student
• Implement and provide professional development on research-based best practices
• Serve as catalyst for innovation in teaching and learning
• Guide and support instructional teams in implementing the District's academic vision
• Model and coach instructional methods in a variety of settings (whole group and small group) and provide follow-up support
• Collaborate with and coach teachers on the use of assessment data to plan instruction; analyze school data and plan for future academic needs
• Conduct classroom visitations and provide collaborative feedback to teachers and administrators on the school's math program
• Provide leadership and professional development on implementation of adopted curriculum
• Provide leadership and professional development on the use of assessments to personalize and improve instructional practices and strategies.
• Collaborate with and attend trainings sponsored by the Educational Service Center and other vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work with administration to provide vertical alignment of curriculum resources and content mapping.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have State of Ohio teaching license and be Highly Qualified for this position
• Current and clear BCI/FBI background checks
