Department: Transportation Classification: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Ensure students are transported in a safe to and from school and other destinations as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age Must sign a release form for criminal record check Must complete and pass a physical examination Education/Certification
• High school diploma or GED required
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist students during transport and during loading and unloading
• Properly secure students and/or equipment
• Inform students of bus safety requirements
• Monitor student behavior for the purpose of diffusing situations and/or preventing distraction to the driver or injury to students
• Assist in the evacuation of students from the bus during emergencies
• Attend all safety meetings as required
• Promote positive public relations
• Word cooperatively with all students, system personnel, and parents
• Perform other duties as requested
