PERSONNEL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT School Board Office Secretary/Receptionist July 10, 2026 Preferred Qualifications:
• Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED; an Associate degree or higher preferred
• Prior experience in office, clerical, or receptionist roles preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Suite for collaboration
• Familiarity with current office procedures, practices, and workflow technologies
• Functional knowledge of standard office equipment
• Experience with the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Dependable and punctual
Performance Responsibilities:
• Greet and assist visitors in a professional, courteous manner; determine the purpose of visits and direct accordingly
• Answer and route incoming calls; record and relay messages as needed, following established procedures
• Maintain a welcoming and organized front office environment; supervise lobby operations and cleanliness
• Provide administrative support, including drafting correspondence, typing reports, and managing documents
• Assist with hiring processes, personnel records, and payroll-related data management
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain calendars for office activities and meeting spaces
• Maintain accurate and organized office files; regularly update and discard outdated materials
• Operate standard office machines effectively and manage office supply inventory, including requisitions
• Serves as a liaison between employees and the HR Director in relation to FMLA paperwork.
• Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee and school information
• Collaborate with and support other Central Office departments with administrative tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
