About this role
Essential Job Functions: Complete individual screenings (vision, hearing, speech-language and general development) to preschool age children at various sites Performance Responsibilities: 1.Administer, record and score screening tests/ use instrumentation according to prescribed protocols and ethical standards. 2. Maintain strict confidentiality around information related to family history, child’s medical/ educational history and performance during screening process. 3. Work collaboratively with Child Outreach Coordinator/ Early Childhood Coordinator and other child outreach screeners. 4. Participate in ongoing assessment of their performance and accepts feedback from EC Coordinator 5. Participate in formal trainings provided through the state and district Child Outreach programs. 6. Refer families and other caregivers to Child Outreach Coordinator/Early Childhood Coordinator for concerns or questions about screening process, Child Outreach Program, child’s performance, special education referral process or any other topic. 7. Follow all district policies, administrative regulations and directives pertaining to position. 8. Other duties as required or assigned by Early Childhood Coordinator or district administration.
Qualifications: High School Diploma Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred Training and/or experience related to child development and working with young children Reports to: Director of Pupil Personnel Child Outreach Coordinator/ Early Childhood Coordinator
