2026-2027 School Year PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists in the development of the vision for the district band program, as it relates to each teaching assignment. 2. Assists in the creation of the district band curriculum and its implementation at each site. 3. Demonstrates stated criteria for effective teaching performance. 4. Assists in organizing the total band calendar and making the necessary arrangements of band concerts, contests, and events the various groups will attend. 5. Coordinates transportation and facilities for all band contests and activities with the Director of Bands. 6. Submits all requests for expenditures of the band program activity accounts to the Director of Bands. 7. Assumes responsibility for coordination of all district-owned instruments and music. 8. Sees to the repair and storage of district-owned instruments in cooperation with the Director of Bands. 11. Assists in maintaining the district band inventory including all instruments, classroom furniture. 9. Manages or assists in fundraising activities as it relates to each teaching assignment. 10. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility as it relates to school equipment and supplies.e, equipment and technology. 12. Assists in supervising the cleaning, storage, and care of all high school band uniforms. 13. Ensures that all band facilities are kept in an orderly manner. 14. Builds positive school-community relations by keeping the community informed of band-related events. 15. Manages standards for student behavior by creating an environment acceptable for representation of the school district and community-at-large. 16. Participates in faculty meetings and professional activities, serving on-site and district committees as required. 17. Completes reports and other school-related paperwork within stated timelines. 18. Accepts responsibility and arrives punctually for activities and duties as assigned. 19. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with co-workers. 20. Is actively involved in professional growth activities. 21. Maintains appropriate emotional control, physical health, and personal appearance. 22. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required through report cards and parent-teacher conferences. 23. Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulations. 24. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently. Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather. Ability to walk or move long distances from location to location around the building multiple times each day.
