About this role
Position Summary: Short Call Substitute Teachers replace full-time classroom teachers for a determined period of time. Their role consists of implementing existing lesson plans, overseeing classroom activities, assigning homework, following the full-time teacher's instructions, and grading tests.
Qualifications: - Hold an associate's degree in any field. - Educational support (Paraprofessionals or Classroom EAs) who hold a high school diploma, or equivalent, and have worked for at least one year for the hiring Minnesota public school district. - Apply for an Emergency Short Call Substitute Teaching license. (Application fee will be covered by Owatonna Public Schools)
Substitute Teacher Training Session: Owatonna Public Schools District Office given during orientation/ 333 E School Street
Rate of Pay: $206/day for full-day assignments // $29.43/hour for non-full-day assignments
