About this role
Summary/Objective Assisting in providing quality child care in a nurturing, safe environment using developmentally appropriate curriculum. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
• Responding to all internal and external customers, as it relates to position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner
• Supervising children in the child development program including play periods, meal time, field trips, assemblies, bathroom and emergency drills
• Assisting with developing and creating bulletin boards, signs, borders and classroom displays
• Assisting students with various physical, emotional and educational needs
• Alerting the director/supervisor to any problem or special information about a student
• Maintaining the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed
• Working in collaboration with other staff to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
• Keeping educational materials, equipment and the general room environment neat, safe and clean
• Maintaining knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules
• Performing related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner
• Assisting with the supervision of high school interns

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work At Will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work, or a minimum number of days or hours. This is a 12-month, substitute or part-time position. This position is not eligible for medical benefits. Employee will work scheduled hours per day Monday through Friday. Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience Working with children. Required Certifications/Licenses Documentation of current negative TB test. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
