Current Contract -CPoKF Contract 2024-2026 Reports To: Food Service Supervisor Job Summary: As a School Food Service Delivery Driver and Warehouse Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of nutritious meals to students and staff within the school district. You will also be responsible for assisting in the efficient operation of the food service warehouse. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and dedication to providing quality service are essential in this role. Key Responsibilities:

• Safe Food Delivery:

• Safely and efficiently transport food from the central warehouse to various school locations following all traffic laws and safety guidelines.

• Verify the accuracy of food orders before departure and upon arrival at each school.

• Handle food items with care to maintain quality and prevent contamination.

• Route Planning:

• Plan delivery routes to ensure on-time and efficient delivery of meals to multiple schools.

• Adjust routes as needed to accommodate changes in schedules or delivery requirements.

• Warehouse Management:

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming food shipments and supplies.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and track expiration dates of food items.

• Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory management practices.

• Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including food handling, storage, and sanitation guidelines.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• Follow safety procedures when loading and unloading deliveries.

• Communication:

• Maintain clear and open communication with the Child Nutrition Supervisor regarding delivery schedules, changes, or issues.

• Collaborate with school staff to coordinate meal delivery and address any concerns.

• Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and inventory levels.

• Prepare and submit reports as required.

• Customer Service:

• Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with school personnel and staff.

• Address any delivery-related inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Experience in food service or delivery preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Valid Food Handlers License

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to [40 lbs].

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily involves driving and warehouse duties.

• May require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Exposure to varying temperatures in the warehouse.

• Occasional early morning or late afternoon shifts to accommodate school schedules.

• Compliance with safety guidelines and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
