About this role

PURPOSE Plan, organize, direct, and supervise all warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, distribution, and disposal of District supplies, equipment, furniture, instructional materials, and other assets. Provide leadership for warehouse personnel, warehouse fleet operations, inventory control, workplace safety, and customer service while supporting the operational needs of all District departments and schools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited two- or four-year college or university in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a closely related field preferred.

• Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, distribution, or a related field.

• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Valid Driver's License

• Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain)

• Knowledge of:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in all warehouse operations including receiving, inspecting, storing, inventorying, picking, packing, shipping, and distributing supplies, furniture, equipment, mail, and other District assets.

• Coordinate District-wide delivery schedules and transportation routes to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries to schools and administrative facilities.

• Recruit, supervise, train, mentor, develop, and evaluate warehouse personnel. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, recommend disciplinary action when necessary, and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and excellent customer service.

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver warehouse safety training. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; prepare reports; implement corrective actions; and promote a safe work environment.

• Develop, implement, and enforce warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency, consistency, regulatory compliance, and employee safety.

• Monitor inventory levels and warehouse operations to ensure inventory accuracy, proper storage practices, efficient use of warehouse space, and effective inventory controls.

• Supervise the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of District property while ensuring compliance with District procedures and applicable regulations.

• Coordinate Truck Move Requests and daily warehouse operations while maintaining effective communication with District departments, schools, vendors, and staff regarding deliveries and warehouse services.

• Manage District surplus property operations, including collection, storage, inventory, documentation, and disposal of surplus furniture, equipment, technology, and other District assets in accordance with District policies and applicable laws.

• Assist with maintaining the District's fixed asset records and supporting property inventory activities as assigned

• Monitor warehouse vehicle operations, including GPS systems, vehicle utilization, routing efficiency, idling compliance, preventive maintenance schedules, and fleet performance.

• Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and safe operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, lift gates, Genie lifts, dollies, and other material handling equipment.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, District safety procedures, warehouse security practices, and risk management standards. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and secure warehouse environment.

• Participate in the preparation and administration of the warehouse operating budget. Monitor expenditures, review invoices, and ensure responsible stewardship of District resources.

• Develop, monitor, and report departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including delivery timeliness, inventory accuracy, fleet utilization, warehouse productivity, customer service, safety performance, and operational efficiency. Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare and maintain reports, records, inventories, operating procedures, performance metrics, and other documentation related to warehouse operations.

• Occasionally operate District vehicles to transport supplies, furniture, equipment, mail, and other materials between District locations as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To perform the essential functions of this job effectively and safely, employees must meet the following physical qualifications:
