About this role
Sharon Public Schools Nutrition Program seeks self-motivated, energetic staff to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. This position follows policies and procedures for preparing, serving, and distributing food items and meals to students and staff. This position is 30 hours a week, 8 am - 2 pm, and follows an academic calendar. Qualifications
• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Knowledge of food service sanitation standards, including procedures to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste and HACCP regulations.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to do tasks with several steps and to follow an established sequence of tasks with minimal supervision.
• ServeSafe Certification training preferred
Primary Responsibilities include...
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, recipe instructions, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to…
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with students, department employees, school faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Demonstrate pleasant, customer-oriented interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to use a Point of Sale system and register
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Perform a variety of tasks in a timely manner.
• You must be dependable.
Successful candidates will require CORI and SAFIS Fingerprinting Background check.
