Student Mental Health Counselor QUALLIFICATIONS: Valid KY Certification REPORTS TO: Director of Student Support Services Summary To provide district wide leadership, coordination, oversight, and evaluation of, AXIS, comprehensive school mental health services. The position is necessary to ensure consistent implementation of evidence-based mental health services. The position is necessary to ensure consistent implementation of evidence-based mental health supports, compliance with state and federal requirements, effective supervision of school-based mental health providers, and coordination of services that improve student well-being and academic success. ***POSITION IS A 200 DAY CONTRACT Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise district mental health therapists.
• Coordinate school counseling and behavioral health initiatives.
• Lead implementation of District comprehensive School Mental Health Plan.
• Coordinate crisis response and postvention activities.
• Oversee suicide prevention initiatives.
• Coordinator behavioral threat assessment teams.
• Develop district mental health procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate community mental health partnerships.
• Analyze district mental health data and outcome measures.
• Assist schools in implementing trauma-informed practices.
• Coordinate professional learning for school staff.
• Ensure compliance with KDE reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with Special Education, Section 504, FRYSC, attendance services, and student services to improve outcomes for students.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experiences
• Kentucky Certification in School Counseling (required)
• Kentucky Certification as a School Psychologist (preferred)
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in education
Licenses and Other Requirements
• Valid Kentucky Certificate as School Counselor
