Chichester School District 2026-2027 School Year Bus Drivers Job Summary: Provide safe transportation for district students to and from various destinations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operate vehicle responsibly at all times.
• Complete inspection of the school bus as prescribed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including clearing obstructions and wiping lenses of lights. Reports all irregularities to the yard person.
• Maintain student discipline on the bus according to school bus rules. Reports infractions to the Building Principal and the Supervisor of Transportation.
• Maintain school bus routing schedule.
• Safely operate all equipment provided within aschool bus, including all doors, windows, emergency equipment, radios, read and understand gauge indicators, operate standard shift and automatic transmissions, exc.
• Attend in-service workshops and other department meetings scheduled by Director of Transportation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• You MUST have a valid Pennsylvania CDL Driver's License with Passenger (P) and Student (S) endorsement with air break restriction lifted. Willing to train a PA CDL Driver's License holder for (S) and (P) endorsement and air break restriction lifted.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driving record must be free of tickets and accidents.
