Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are currently accepting applications for a Middle School Special Education Instructor (Grades 5-8) at Nodaway Valley Middle School in Fontanelle, IA with a $5,000.00 add on bonus for our best candidate. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and committed to fostering a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment. This position will primarily serve Strat I students, with some Strat II support, focusing on helping students build academic skills, independence, and confidence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in differentiation, behavior support, and individualized instruction, while promoting student growth in both academic and functional areas. The candidate will collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and ensure student success across settings. A strong commitment to building positive relationships and contributing to a supportive school community is essential. This position requires a valid Iowa Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement in special education.
