KUNA HIGH SCHOOL JOB STATUS: All Applicants JOB TITLE: Head Volleyball Coach LOCATION: Kuna High School REPORTS TO: Principal and Athletic Director HOURS: Part Time SALARY: Stipend BENEFITS: None JOB SUMMARY: The head frosh volleyball coach is responsible for the organization and implementation of a successful frosh program. Develop a competitive program that is committed to the creation of student-athletes who demonstrate a commitment to academics, strong fundamental skills and sportsmanship. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Preferred Coaching Experience
• Must have knowledge of the technical aspects of a varsity program
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
• Positive public relations skills.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate total development and promotion of the program
• Promotes all athletes to participate in sports and activities throughout the school year
• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions
• Adjust coaching techniques, based on the ability of athletes
• Arrange and conduct program-specific activities, such as summer training, skills-improvement sessions, and pre-season try-outs
• Instruct athletes in rules, game strategies, and performance principles
• Provide training, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for competition
• Hire, supervise, and train assistant coaches
• Develop and arrange competition schedules and programs with the approval of the Athletic Director
• Generate additional funds for the support of the program through approved fundraisers
• Inventory and issue Athletic Equipment
• Professionally communicate with the media
• Carefully operate under state/league/school rules and regulations.
• Understand rules and regulations and is in compliance with High school activities (See link:

• Discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.
• Provide all documentation to Athletic Director to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examination, parental consent, and eligibility.
• Effectively manage a budget
• Manage and coordinate Athletic facilities
• Ability to evaluate assistant coaches
• Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
• Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
