Intervention specialist responsibilities include the following: Grade Levels: 6-8th Middle School ELA

• Plan room arrangement and learning centers • Plan and organize the structure of each class/activity being taught • Assess individual students' and class needs as a whole • Write designated sections of the ETR and IEP for assigned students • Implement services consistent with the individualized education plan and/or annual goals identified for a student(s), including behavior plans • Document and collect data, as needed, for all goals, objectives, and behavioral plans. • Evaluate and report student progress. • Develop and implement a communication system with families that effectively keeps parents informed about classroom activities and student progress. • Meet with parents as needed and initiate conferences regarding student progress.
