About this role

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District seeks a qualified (.25 FTE) History Teacher commencing the 2026-2027 school year to teach one section of US History at Lincoln-Sudbury Academy. The goal of L-S Academy is to provide a therapeutic environment to support students' social, emotional, health, and academic achievement as they work to earn the credits necessary to meet graduation requirements. Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LSA community.

• Plan lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.

• Create a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior.

• In collaboration with the special educators at LSA, provide instructional support and opportunities for students who have a current IEP or who are involved in the evaluation process.

• Develop curriculum two courses: US History 1700-1900 and US History 1900-present.

• Design course instruction that is consistent with that outlined in the Program of Studies.

• Provide timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed.

• Communicate with caregivers to discuss student progress.

• Collaborate with LSA colleagues and other professional staff in supporting student learning, that may include attendance at IEP meetings as a General Education representative.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from an accredited college or university.

• Licensed to teach History by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement.

Experience Preferred:

• 3 + years educational teaching environment preferred

• High School teaching experience preferred

Salary:

• According to the Teachers' CBA

• Prorate annual salary according to the .25 FTE
