The Department of Education is seeking to recruit Substitutes for the Academic School Year 2026–2027. Substitutes are recruited to provide coverage for absences within schools in the Bermuda Public School System. Certified Teachers
• Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree along with teacher certification
• Must be registered with The Bermuda Educators Council
• Must hold a current SCARS certificate
Uncertified Teachers We also welcome applications from individuals who have an interest in the teaching profession. Applicants must:
• Hold a first degree with strong knowledge in a subject area that would benefit the Bermuda Public School System
• Demonstrate a clear commitment to student learning
• Must hold a current SCARS certificate
