Xavier Catholic Schools is hiring a Fruits and Vegetables Attendant to join the Food Service Team at Xavier High School! This is a part-time, position QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Education or GED required,
• Prior food service or related field experience preferred
• Enthusiastic supporter of the Catholic faith and schools
• Flexible, adaptive, and cooperative
All who serve at Xavier Catholic Schools will witness by their behavior, actions, and words a life consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church ESSENTIAL DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow all health department guidelines and regulations
• Open canned fruit and put into serving pans
• Open and prepare canned vegetables
• Wash and prepare fresh fruits and vegetables for serving; and replenish fruits and vegetables, as needed
• Serve lunch to students
• Monitor lunch line
• Backup cashier, when needed
• Spray and wipe tables in the Commons after lunch
• Assist co-workers in other areas, as needed
• Take required classes and training
• Take out garbage and recyclables
• Sweep and mop floors; perform heavy duty cleaning, as needed
• Help unload weekly truck
• Prepare grocery order on Thursdays
• Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, reach, sit, hear, handle and perform repetitive motions of the hands/wrists. Lifts and moves items up to 20 pounds.
