The Irish Wheelchair Association is offering Community Employment (CE) positions supporting people with physical and sensory disabilities in our Day Centre. Your work will include: • Supporting Members during daily activities in the Day Centre • Assisting with leisure activities such as boccia, arts & crafts, drama, cooking and social events • Accompanying Members on outings and community trips • Assisting with personal care in a respectful and dignified manner • Helping with bus transport runs (pickup and drop-off service) • Safely operating lifting equipment and securing wheelchairs on buses • Providing general assistance and light cleaning duties • Working as part of a friendly and supportive team What We Offer • A welcoming and supportive team environment • Accredited training opportunities • The opportunity to work towards a QQI Major Award • Valuable hands-on experience in the health and social care sector • Weekly payment under CE rates • The chance to make a real difference in people’s lives We are looking for someone who: • Has a caring and positive attitude • Enjoys working with people • Is reliable and responsible • Works well as part of a team • Is willing to learn and take part in training A “can-do” attitude is more important than experience.
