About this role
The program will give successful applicants the opportunity for practical work experience of 19.5 hours per week in conjunction with studying towards a QQI Major Award in their chosen career. The work experience and training will enable applicants to secure future employment opportunities. All training cost are funded 100% through the programme. Applicants must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form. Short listing will apply. Duties to include: Cooking duties in line with HACCP / Health and safety procedures for the provision of Food Service. Ensure cleaning duties comply with HACCP Standards in the childcare facility. Maintain equipment and report any hazards to coordinator. Report any concerns of health and safety immediately to Childcare Coordinator. Wear appropriate PPE to include Safety shoes and any other items provide for this position. Stock control, rotation of food and drafting purchases orders, assist with menu planning and the HSE HIP project. Location: Clonbrusk or St Kierans Community Childcare Facility, Athlone.
