About this role
In conjunction with the Childcare Team: Ensure the developmental needs of all children are met within a framework of planned activity and early learning experiences. Assist in the development of long, medium and short term curriculum plans for the early years setting. Assist with implementing a broad, balanced and appropriate early years curriculum. To ensure a welcoming, friendly atmosphere in the Centre. Adhere to the Child Protection Policy of the group. Adhere to all policies and procedures of the childcare service and organisation. Adhere to strict policies and procedures regarding confidentiality. Ensure that the playroom is appropriately prepared, and activities are accessible to all children before and after each day. Participate in regular staff meetings and supervision. Carry out duties on a rota basis e.g., cleaning, preparation of snacks etc Commitment to quality improvement through ongoing professional development and training Participate in special events and outings. To work at other Cornerstone Childcare Services if required. General: Adhere to a professional code of conduct and appropriate dress. Ensure that high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times. Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations. Attend any other reasonable duties relevant to the post. To work at other Cornerstone Childcare Services as requested. This may result in a change to normal working hours. Participants are required to undertake QQI Level 5 Childcare training This job description may be subject to periodic review. Extra hours worked to be offset against childcare holidays..
