About this role

Kitchen Assistant Duties: Managing Meals on Wheels Recipients lists. On occasion contact volunteer drivers to deliver meals. Assist Chef with the preparation and dishing out of meals. Cleaning: Cookers, hotplate, fridges, shelves, sinks, floors and general cleaning in the kitchen and stores. General Duties and Responsibilities To comply with Food Hygiene (HACCPS) Rules and Regulations. To be flexible and prioritise workload accordingly. To work in conjunction with other team members. To allocate and manage time efficiently. To be familiar with and always adhere to the Policies & Procedures of Cornerstone. To carry out duties in a professional manner. To fully observe the principle of confidentiality. To adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations as per the organisations Health & Safety Statement and the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act, 2005. Participation in agreed programmes of training. To participate in supervision with supervisor on a regular basis. Attend meetings as required. You will be required to work Bank Holidays/weekends on an alternative rota basis with other staff. Be prepared to do relief work when other staff are off. To carry out any other duties allocated by your Line Manager. Delivery Driver Duties: Prior to delivering meals visually check the van for defects or damage. Report defects or damage to the Meals on Wheels Co-Ordinator immediately. Inspect van interior and clean if necessary prior to delivering meals. Deliver meals to Meals on Wheels Recipients in their homes using Cornerstone vehicles. Full Clean Category B Irish Driving Licence is required for this position.. CE Scheme Skills
