About this role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical trades and a proactive approach to maintaining and repairing equipment. Key Responsibilities: Ideally qualified or time-served in a mechanical trade discipline. Knowledge of high-volume automated equipment, with experience in hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding being highly desirable. Conduct daily start-up and shut-down checks on machinery across the plant. Respond promptly and safely to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime. Carry out servicing and maintenance across the site efficiently, safely, and hygienically. Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to a high standard. Maintain a clean and organized workspace during all repair and breakdown activities. Implement and adhere to the preventative maintenance schedule. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required maintenance records. Support adherence to the company’s Health & Safety policy by following proper procedures and ensuring compliance among staff. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Desirable Skills & Qualifications: Experience with TIG/arc welding, forklift operation, and plant repair is advantageous but not essential. An HGV licence is considered a bonus.
