About this role
This role is based at Gorey Community Hospital and involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and delivery of a stimulating activity programme for individual patients and groups. The programme will be developed in collaboration with the on-site Occupational Therapist and Nurse in Charge. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitate a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities, such as music therapy, creative arts and crafts • Reading sessions, observational materials, and interactive/board games • Support the organisation with social events on the ward • Being mindful of each patient's individual needs and abilities • Participate in any training required for the role • Demonstrate strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills Additional Information: Garda Vetting is required prior to commencing this placement..
