About this role
The purpose of the position of the Catering Assistant is to assist in the delivery of food service to the staff of Portumna Pastry. The Canteen Assistant undertakes range of activities which include food preparation, cooking, serving staff, keeping kitchen equipment available for use, ensuring the canteen areas are clean, sanitized and ready for the next day’s activities. Preparing and serving food including basic cookery and baking Operating cash registers and handling cash Cleaning of work surfaces, floors, tables, utensils etc. and ensure no cross contamination Food storage and stock rotation Be environmentally aware Shift premium applies Good English essential
