About this role

Receptionist / Administrator / Outreach Worker required for the Education & Rights Resource Centre, Churchfield and Women Supporting Women and the Mná Feasa project in St. Mary’s campus. All these 3 projects come under the Cork Anti-Poverty Resource Network, and the role is split between the 3 locations all within walking distance of each other. This role is a Community Employment role, and therefore to be considered for the role you must be eligible for Community Employment. You can check with your local social welfare office to see if you are, in general you must be in receipt of a social welfare payment for at least 12 months. The position involves being the first point of contact for all visitors and users of each of the centres, this is both face to face and over the phone. Training on the use of MS Word, Publisher and Excel will be given as these are packages which will be required to carry out work to support the administrative duties required in the role. You will work some days in the Education & Rights resource centre in Churchfield Avenue and other days in the Women Supporting Women project and Mná Feasa project based in St. Mary’s campus in Gurranabraher. The administrative aspect of the role involves the following: You will be required to do administration regarding contacting volunteers. Doing up volunteer’s rosters. Supporting clients and users of the services in filling out forms. Booking in clients for One-to-One sessions. You will be meeting and greeting clients at the door and dealing with clients over the phone. You will be answering office phones and taking messages. Ordering stationery and supplies for the office. Outreach work - The outreach work involves the following but not is not limited to the outlined. You will accompany a member of staff or a volunteer to do outreach work in Supermarkets and other public places to raise awareness about the various services of each of the projects. You will also be required to do Postal outreach, sending posters to different organisations. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and is highly organized and enjoys administrative work through use of the various MS Office Suite packages. Training will be provided. Training will be provided. You will be a part of a friendly nourishing team. You will work as part of a team and training will be provided. The hours are 9.30 – 2.30pm 4 / 5days a week..
