This supervised work placement has been designed to provide practical experience for someone interested in developing a career in recruitment, administration or human resources. Working alongside experienced Recruitment Consultants, you will receive structured training and mentoring while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of the recruitment process. You will learn how recruitment agencies source candidates, maintain recruitment databases, prepare candidate information and support clients throughout the hiring process. No previous recruitment experience is required. The emphasis of this placement is on learning new skills, building confidence and developing workplace experience in a supportive office environment. Throughout the placement you will receive training and supervised experience in: - Maintaining accurate candidate records within a recruitment database while understanding GDPR requirements. - Using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruitment databases to identify suitable candidates. - Researching companies to identify potential business opportunities for Recruitment Consultants. - Preparing professional candidate CVs and profiles for client presentation. - Contacting candidates to confirm interview attendance and explain the recruitment process. - Using recruitment software and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). - Learning how vacancies are advertised across online job boards and social media. - Developing professional telephone, email and customer service skills. - Understanding recruitment best practice and the full recruitment lifecycle. - Working as part of a professional recruitment team in a busy office environment. With guidance from experienced Recruitment Consultants, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the recruitment process while developing valuable skills in sourcing, database management, candidate engagement and recruitment administration.. This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
