About this role
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form. This position is designed to help you build a solid foundation in warehouse operations without requiring any prior skills or qualifications. All training will be provided in a supportive environment. Over the duration of the 6-month placement you will learn and be mentored in: • Goods Inwards: Learning how to receive, check and log incoming goods. • Order Picking / Outgoing Orders: Assist with outgoing orders; support the preparation and verification of orders leaving the warehouse to ensure that everything is accurate and in good order. • Warehouse Safety / Workplace Organisation: Maintain workplace organisation; contribute to keeping the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organised as part of our commitment to operational efficiency. • Stock Control: Assist with stock take. Gain exposure to inventory management practices, including learning to track stock levels and understanding how to replenish low supplies. • Customer Service: Assist with deliveries and learn how to engage with customers.. This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module, which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection.
