Salary: €40000 - €50000 per annum (Depending on experience) Hours: Full-Time, 39 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent We are a brand new, exciting hospitality venue opening soon in Midleton,Cork. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly motivated Head Chef to lead our kitchen team, design our culinary offerings, and manage daily kitchen operations from scratch. The successful candidate will have complete oversight of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining high presentation standards, and driving profitability while fostering a positive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute high-quality menus aligned with the venue's concept and seasonal availability. Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and service meet the highest standards. Supervise, mentor, and train kitchen staff, creating efficient staff rosters and managing labor costs. Oversee inventory, stock control, food ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain strict food cost margins. Full responsibility for kitchen hygiene, ensuring strict adherence to HACCP regulations, food safety standards, and health & safety legislation. Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure a clean, safe working environment at all times. Requirements & Skills: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Excellent knowledge of menu costing, stock management, and driving kitchen KPIs. Advanced HACCP qualification and full knowledge of Irish food safety regulations. Passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and consistency under pressure. Must be eligible to legally work in Ireland (or qualify for an employment permit transition).
