Our client, Noel Conway Construction Limited, based in Navan, Co. Meath, is currently seeking Carpenters at their facility in Navan, Co. Meath. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of previous Carpentry/Joinery experience required. Carpentry/Joinery Certification/Apprenticeship/Trade preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience: To cut, shape, assemble, erect, maintain and repair various types of wood structures and fittings To cut, shape and assemble wooden elements for the construction of buildings and wooden installations To make, alter and repair structural and other woodwork at a workbench or on site To construct, erect and install framed wooden structures on site To fit, assemble, and alter internal and external fixtures of buildings, such as walls, doors, door and window frames, facings and panellings To build and install bespoke wood solutions for clients in various sectors Essential knowledge includes types of wood, wood cuts, and woodworking tools Further essential knowledge includes use of power tools, use of measurement instruments, and use of sawing equipment Essential skills include application of wood finishes, cleaning of wood surface, and creation of smooth wood surface Further essential skills include creating wood joints, identifying wood warp, and interpreting 2D & 3D plans Candidates must have experience in following health & safety procedures in construction, installing wood elements in structures, and joining of wood elements Candidates must be competent to install construction profiles, install wood hardware and to use safety equipment Carpentry/Joinery Certification/Apprenticeship/Trade preferred but not essential Candidates must have at least 3 years’ of relevant experience as a Carpenter/Joiner Annual Remuneration: €48,144.72; Pay rate €23.74 per hour Work Location: Noel Conway Construction Limited, 14 Railway Street, Dillonsland, Navan, Co.
