About this role
Assist with the planning of the daily activities once inducted into the service and training has been provided; Be confidential with regard to the privacy of family and company information; Communicate effectively daily in relation to children’s own needs, daily requirements, completing curriculum and ensuring all equipment is safe and in good working order; Utilise different methods of communication when needed e.g. written/oral; Report to the Manager with any concerns, questions or queries in relation to the Childcare Centre; Attend and participate in Staff meeting, when necessary; Assist in providing a caring, warm, stimulating and fun environment for all children attending the service; Ensure the safety of the children in the service at all times by ensuring children are supported and supervised at all times; Follow the policies and procedures of the service; Respect the Health and Safety Statement of the service; Assist the whole team in supporting general health and hygiene in the entire centre; Work with the whole team in ensuring that all equipment and toys are safe and are within good working order; Work with the whole team to ensure the learning environment is well maintained; With training, encourage parental involvement in the activities and running of the centre.
