We are looking for an Assistant Social Care Worker to join our Core Support team. This is a dedicated developmental pathway designed to give you hands-on experience, accredited training, and the exact skills you need to land a permanent, full-time role in the social care sector. Earn While You Learn: Receive fully funded, accredited training tailored to support your long-term career goals. 1-on-1 Mentorship: You will work directly with our Support Services Manager for day-to-day guidance, and partner with a dedicated CE Scheme Supervisor to map out your personal growth and future employment goals. Your Role & How You Will Make a Difference Working alongside our experienced core team, you will listen to, support, and empower women who have been subjected to domestic violence. As you grow into the role, you will get hands-on experience with: Direct Engagement: Welcoming service users and providing vital emotional support. Case Management: Learning how to develop safety plans, support plans, and participate in Care Plan Reviews. Advocacy in Action: Assisting women with housing, healthcare, social welfare, and rights/entitlements. Community & Justice: Accompanying women to court and linking them with vital outreach supports and local networks. About You You do not need a background in social care—we hire for attitude and potential. We are looking for someone who has: A compassionate, empathetic, and open-minded approach. Basic computer familiarity (and a willingness to learn more). A strong desire to participate in all training related to the Refuge's vital work. The enthusiasm to collaborate on a personalized development plan with your CE Supervisor to unlock future employment opportunities.
