Job Title :- Quality & Governance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality & Governance Manager to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality, governance, and patient safety systems across our organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance with NHS standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice while fostering a culture of continuous learning, quality improvement, and clinical excellence.The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to strengthen governance frameworks, manage risk, support incident investigations, and drive quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. You will provide expert advice on clinical governance, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and organisational learning, ensuring that robust systems are in place to monitor performance and maintain high standards of care.
Main duties of the job
What you'll be responsible for:
Responsible for the Datix and QPulse systems to ensure they are fit for purpose Undertake theme and trend analysis of incidents, complaints, audits, risks, claims and complaints by investigating and analysing this information and reviewing research and national guidelines to improve practice. Ensure the Patient Safety Panel is held weekly, agendas are set, reports are received in a timely manner, minutes produced, actions recorded and evidence of closed actions. Responsible for leading and reporting on specific analytical projects with triangulation of themes and trends of risk management and governance. Work with Divisions on patient safety initiatives and provide them with clinical governance advice

Job Title: Quality & Governance Manager
Location: Stepping Hill Hospital, Onsite with possibility of one day working from home.
Assignment Length: 6 Months (Bank)
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £30.90 per hour
Band: 8a
What you'll be responsible for:

Work with Divisions on patient safety initiatives and provide them with clinical governance advice Present complex, sensitive or contentious information and regular reports to relevant managers and committees (clinical audit and effectiveness committee and executive risk management committee) / groups as requested.You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
Youll have the following skills/experience:
Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written Experience of undertaking PSIRF learning responses, including PSIIs Experience of working in Surgery and Acute hospital NHS Experience Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel Previous management experience NHS System Knowledge- Datix and QPulse Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressureDepending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
