Job summary
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS FoundationTrust (NSFT) are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk & Norfolk sites being based in Norwich.

Main duties of the job
Duties & Responsibilities associated with this role include but are not limited to:
Carrying out routine, planned and reactive tasks to ensure our buildings and equipment is safe and fully compliant Assisting the members of the maintenance team in all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance across our estate Assisting in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of buildings and equipment Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or building field
Experience Essential
Minimum two years work experience in a mechanical, electrical or building field having demonstrated versatility & flexibility Practical experience of general maintenance
Desirable
Experience of working in a mental health or secure services hospital environment
Knowledge Essential
Understanding and knowledge of the inter-relationship between the building trades and electrical & mechanical services Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations within the Workplace
