Technology is a critical driver of value in M&A transactions. Interpath combines deep sector insight with hands-on execution capabilities to support Private Equity investors and corporates throughout the deal lifecycle – from IT due diligence and carve-outs to post-merger integration and value creation. We help clients assess IT landscapes, identify transaction risks, and unlock value through technology.
Interpath entered the German market in January 2025 and continues to build a strong presence across the DACH region. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our growing IT M&A and Due Diligence capability, working on high-impact transactions alongside experienced Managing Directors and deal teams.
Your ChallengeIn this role, you will support our team on IT-focused transaction projects, with a strong focus on due diligence and deal execution.
Your responsibilities include:
Supporting IT due diligence engagements, including analysis of IT landscapes, systems, and architectures Contributing to the evaluation of IT cost structures and run-rate implications (applications, infrastructure, IT operating models)Supporting carve-out and post-merger integration planning, including separation complexity and Day 1 readinessPreparing deal-focused client presentations, translating technical findings into clear commercial implicationsConducting research on transaction-relevant IT trends and benchmarksCollaborating closely with consultants, managers, and deal teams in a fast-paced consulting environmentWhat Interpath Offers YouAt Interpath, you will join a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with direct exposure to transactions and early responsibility.

Your Contribution to SuccessYou are analytically strong and motivated to work at the intersection of IT, M&A, and value creation.
You should have:
Ongoing or recently completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related fieldBasic understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, cloud technologies, or software architectures is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex topicsProficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel and PowerPoint)Strong communication skills with the ability to link technical findings to business and deal implicationsA proactive, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindsetThe minimum duration of this internship is 3 months. Longer periods (e.g. 6 months are preferred)Fluency in German (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2)Benefits
