ASOS is seeking an experienced Strategy and Operations Manager to join our dynamic Merchandising team in London. This pivotal role combines strategic planning with operational excellence, driving our merchandise planning capabilities in the fast-paced world of online fashion retail.

As a key member of the merchandising function, you'll work closely with the Merchandising Director and leadership team to optimise planning processes, ensure data accuracy, and empower teams with insights for informed decisions. You'll work at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and operations, collaborating cross-functionally to enhance planning systems and drive continuous improvement.

Operational Delivery

Support the Merchandise Director with operational change requirementsCoordinate the Merchandise Planning Evolution programmePartner with Product Operations Director to represent planning needsAlign processes, tools, and governance for best-in-class planningTools, Data & Reporting

Lead implementation of new reporting tools and analytical platforms Overhaul dashboards to deliver actionable performance insightsWork with BI, Data and Tech teams to define requirementsStandardise reporting outputs to support decision makingCapability & Development

Drive improved performance storytelling through enhanced analytical capabilitySupport Analyst Development Programme to build insight maturityIdentify tools and training that enable best-in-class insights You're a strategic operator with a passion for process excellence and building capability. Required Experience

Experience in merchandise planning, operations, or equivalent retail/e-commerce rolesStrong understanding of retail planning processes, reporting and analyticsProven ability to manage cross-functional change initiatives across teams and systemsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills at all levelsHigh proficiency in planning systems and BI platforms (Excel, SQL, PowerBI)Strong data skills to inform decisions and create compelling storiesDesirable

Experience in large-scale retail or e-commerce, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth businessesExperience working with Product, BI and Tech functions for operational improvementsPersonal Attributes
