The Department of Geography and Environment is seeking a full-time LSE Fellow in Urban Geography and Planning. The successful candidate will join one of the world’s leading geography and environment departments, which enjoys very strong international student demand across a wide range of graduate and undergraduate programmes.
The successful candidate will contribute to the administrative and teaching duties of the Department at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to the research profile of the Department by maintaining their own research programme and participating in research seminars and meetings.
The successful candidate will have:
Completed or close to completing a PhD in a relevant subject, by the post start date A very good knowledge of urban geography and planning, whose work could include, but is not limited to, urban political economy, social life of cities, and urban planning. Relevant teaching and assessment experiences at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. A demonstrated ability to connect Asian urban processes to other world regions through comparative, relational, or transnational approaches would be desirable.
