POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will lead a team of hourly plant production employees. The holder of this position will supervise the rendering production facility in Dundas, Ontario with a focus on health and safety activities, product quality and optimize the use of resources. The successful candidate will also promote staff development. This role is rotating shifts. SCHEDULE: Rotating Shifts-Days, Afternoons and Nights POSITION TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Train, coach, and mentor production employees, fostering a positive work environment. Manage employee scheduling, approve time and attendance, proactively address employee relations matters and resolve conflicts, and conduct performance reviews to support staff development. • Execute the site's health and safety programs, conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis, and ensure all activities comply with company policies and Ministry of Labour standards. • Monitor production metrics, generate performance reports, and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. • Ensure Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Guarantee all production activities adhere to standards set by the CFIA, HACCP, and other provincial regulatory bodies (e.g., Ministry of Environment). • Work closely with maintenance, quality assurance, and other departments to achieve production targets and support the implementation of capital and operational improvements. • Organize and lead regular production meetings and training sessions to ensure clear communicati
