Clean Harbors in Corunna, ON is seeking a local Class AZ Driver to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will hold a Class AZ License and be responsible for operating a variety of units (Roll off, Luggers, Tankers, Vans primarily) to perform hazardous and non-hazardous waste pickups at various client sites. This is a unionized position.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner. • Drive, operate and maintain assigned units (Roll off, Luggers, Tankers, Vans etc.). • Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste. • Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order. • Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations. • Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork. • Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class AZ Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record. • Must be able to maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit. • Valid FAST Card preferred; at minimum, a valid passport with no travel restrictions is required. • Proven ability to operate manual transmission commercial vehicles. • Experience with Hazardous Waste transportation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations is highly preferred. • Previous experience operating tankers and/or roll-off trucks is required. • Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with up to an 18-speed manual transmission. • Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
