About this role
Positions primary responsibility is the assembly of cores, reactors and shunt steel as well as quality assurance (complete green card) and equipment maintenance. Success in this role takes mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the confidence to follow shop documentation, verify materials, perform checks, and safely operate around cranes, clamps, presses, coils, and core assemblies. WHAT YOU WILL DORetrieve and review shop folders, sales orders, materials, and project requirements to confirm components are available and ready for assembly.Assemble core units, including insulation packages, inner and outer cores, coils, clamps, bands, and related core components.Assemble reactor components by setting clamps and press board, building steel and insulation on the core log, placing coils, building yokes, and tightening clamps.Assemble shunt steel by reviewing materials, compressing and tightening stacks in clamps, baking components, and applying Hysol coating.Complete quality checks and documentation, including pre-assembly ratio tests, green cards, and required equipment inspections.Performing other duties as allocated.
